1. High safety and low pathogenicity to humans;
2. Infectious on both dividing and non-dividing cells;
3. Effectively proliferates;
4. High viral titer.
• Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a member of the parvoviridae family. It is a type of non-replicating, non-enveloped, icosahedral microvirus with a diameter of approximately 20-26 nm, containing about 4.7 kb of linear single-stranded DNA as its genome. The recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV)vectoris a gene vector modified from non-pathogenic wild-typeAAV. Due to its diversity, extremely low immunogenicity, high safety, broad host cell range (infecting both dividing and non-dividing cells), strong dispersibility, and long in vivo gene expression time, rAAVisconsidered one of the most promising vectors for gene research and gene therapy.
